Pictures in Focus: Five Images of The Garden of Eden

During the month of August, I will be presenting new works in the Sacred Art Pilgrim Collection, devoted to stories from the Hebrew Scriptures. What better place to begin than in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. A cardboard panel painting by Rudolph Valentino Bostic, showing Adam and Eve in Paradise before the Fall, has just been added to his profile page in the Sacred Artists section. Myrtice West depicts our Primal Parents getting instructions from God in an acrylic painting now on view in the image gallery of her profile page. You can also find three small format prints of Adam and Eve in the East European Ex Libris page in the Schools of Sacred Art Section. Bulgarian Graphic Artist Peter Velikov and Slovak Printmaker Marcos Komachek depict the temptation of Eve, while Belarus Artist Ivan Rusachek shows the first humans after the Fall. (John Kohan)
