Artist in Profile: David Wojkowicz

It is encouraging to find artists around the globe who are working during the pandemic, making their images available on the internet. So far this year, Czech New Media Artist David Wojkowicz has posted ten "abstract biblical illustrations" on his website, adding to the 94 he has created since 2015. A student of theology, Wojkowicz came to digital art by way of photography, developing his own graphic vector software process to combine seven or more partial images into one abstract composition. Wojkowicz provides biblical texts for each of his digital creations, leaving it to the viewer to uncover their own meanings in the simple geometric forms, basic outlines, and chosen color palette. Images of archival quality prints of Wojkowicz's biblical abstracts can be found on his new profile page in the Schools of Sacred Art secion. (John Kohan)
